Job Board
Inspections
The Inspections tab is used to perform and document a vehicle inspection directly from the Job Card.
During the inspection, the technician can review individual inspection points, record their condition, attach photos, and add notes about any issues found. Once completed, the inspection is saved with the Job Card and can be shared with the customer.
Start an Inspection
Beginning the vehicle inspection
Open the required Job Card and navigate to Inspections.
If no inspection has been completed yet, click Start Checklist to begin the vehicle inspection.
Assign the Inspection to an Employee
Recording who performed the inspection
Before completing the checklist, select the employee who performed the inspection under Visual inspection performed by.
This records who was responsible for inspecting the vehicle and includes the employee information with the completed inspection.
Record the Condition of the Vehicle
Three possible conditions
The inspection is divided into sections containing individual vehicle inspection points.
Each inspection point can be assigned one of three conditions
- Good – the inspected item is in acceptable condition.
- Needs Attention – an issue has been identified that should be reviewed or may require service.
- Failed – the inspected item has a significant problem or does not meet the required condition.
Select the appropriate status for each inspection point as you work through the checklist.
Use Mark All Good for Faster Inspections
Speeding up the checklist
To speed up inspections where most items are in good condition, use Mark all Good at the top of a section.
This marks every inspection point in that section as Good. You can then change only the items where a problem was found to Needs Attention or Failed.
For example, if only one item in a section requires attention, mark the entire section as Good first and then update that individual item to the appropriate condition.
Add Photos
Documenting the actual condition
Photos can be attached to individual inspection points using the camera button.
Use photos to document the actual condition of the vehicle, particularly when an item requires attention or has failed the inspection. This provides additional visual information that can also help the customer understand the identified issue.
Record Issues and Comments
Adding findings
Additional findings can be recorded in the Issues section at the bottom of the inspection.
Click Add the first issue and enter a description of the issue or any additional information that should be recorded with the inspection.
If more than one separate issue needs to be documented, click Add Issue to create another entry.
This allows individual findings to be recorded separately instead of combining multiple observations into a single comment.
Complete the Inspection
Saving the inspection
Continue through the checklist until all required inspection points have been reviewed.
When finished, click Save.
Wemotics saves the completed inspection to the Job Card and generates the inspection summary.
Review Inspection Results
Summary of recorded results
Once the inspection has been completed, the Inspections tab displays a summary of the recorded results.
The colored indicators at the top provide a quick overview of the inspection
- Green – number of inspection points marked Good
- Yellow – number of inspection points marked Needs Attention
- Red – number of inspection points marked Failed
The checklist remains divided into sections, allowing the inspection results and identified problems to be reviewed without opening every inspection point individually.
