Job Card
What the Job Card contains
The Job Card contains all the information required to manage a specific vehicle repair job: customer and vehicle details, the problem description, inspections, works and parts, documents, chat, and payments.
Most of this information is transferred automatically from the “New Job” form, so it does not need to be entered again when the Job Card is opened.

How Data Is Added to the Job Card
Automatic data transfer
Information entered when creating a new job is saved and automatically displayed in the relevant areas of the Job Card:
- The customer’s name, phone number, and email address are displayed in the customer information area.
- The problem description is displayed at the top of the Job Card in the “Problem Description” section.
- The vehicle make, model, license plate, VIN, and other technical details are displayed in the card header and the “Car Details” tab.
- The arrival date and time are displayed in the job scheduling area.
- Customer information is also saved in the customer database and can be used for other jobs belonging to the same customer.
The information displayed may vary depending on whether the new job was created as “Lead,” “Scheduled,” or “Arrived.”
Job Header
Key job identifiers
The card header contains the most important information used to identify the job:
- Job number.
- Vehicle make and model.
- License plate.
- VIN, if it was entered or retrieved automatically.
- Job creation date.
The header also allows you to change the job stage, assign a responsible employee, and open the additional actions menu.
Changing the Job Stage
Selecting a stage in the card
The current job stage is displayed in the card header next to the main job details. To change it, select the displayed stage name and choose one of the available options:
- “Lead.”
- “Scheduled.”
- “Estimate.”
- “Approved.”
- “In Progress.”
- “Completed.”
When the stage is changed in the Job Card, the job is automatically moved to the corresponding column on the “Job Board.” All job details, inspections, works, parts, and documents remain unchanged.
The stage can be changed either by dragging the card to another column on the “Job Board” or by opening the Job Card. Both actions update the same job stage, so it does not need to be updated separately in both places.
Customer Information
Contacts and the customer portal
The customer’s name, phone number, and email address are displayed at the top of the card. These details are transferred from the New Job form.
The phone number or email address can be selected to contact the customer quickly.
The “Customer Portal Link” button allows the job status, documents, and other customer-facing information to be shared with the customer.

Arrival and Estimated Completion
Dates and times
The “Arrived” section displays the actual date and time when the vehicle arrived.
The “Estimated Completion” field is used to specify the planned completion date. If a date has not yet been set, “Not set” is displayed.
This information helps plan workshop capacity and keep the customer informed about the expected repair progress.
Problem Description
Customer complaint and translation
The “Problem Description” section contains the customer’s complaint or fault description entered when the job was created.
WEMOTICS can display this text in the language selected in the user’s profile. For example, if an administrator enters the description in Lithuanian and a mechanic’s profile is set to Spanish, the mechanic will see the translated description.
The system supports Lithuanian, English, Spanish, and Russian. When needed, select “Show original” to view the original text. If the description is long, select “Show more” to expand the full text.
Suggesting Works and Parts
The “Suggest works & parts” button
The “Suggest works & parts” button is used to suggest potential repair work and required parts based on the problem description and available vehicle data.
Suggestions must be reviewed and approved before they are added to the job. Approved items are managed in the “Works & Parts” tab.

Starting a Vehicle Inspection
The “Start Inspection” quick action
If the vehicle is already at the workshop, the “Vehicle Inspection” section is displayed at the top of the card.
Selecting “Start Inspection” opens the “Inspections” tab for the same job. There you can select a checklist, inspect the vehicle’s condition, add notes and photos, and record any issues found.
“Start Inspection” is a quick action. The same section can also be opened by selecting the “Inspections” tab in the lower navigation bar. Both navigation methods open the same job inspection section and do not create a separate inspection copy.

Car Details
How data is added to this tab
The “Car Details” tab displays vehicle identity information and technical specifications. This data is used in inspections, works and parts suggestions, documents, and other job processes.
Vehicle information is first entered when creating a new job.
After entering the license plate and selecting “Get Data,” WEMOTICS automatically searches for available vehicle information. If data is found, the following fields may be completed automatically in the New Job form:
- Make.
- Model.
- Year.
- VIN.
- Engine.
- Engine Code.
- Horsepower.
- Other available technical specifications.
Automatically retrieved and manually entered information is saved when the job is created. It is transferred to the Job Card header and the “Car Details” tab, so it does not need to be entered again.
Kilometers and other information that cannot be retrieved automatically can be entered manually. If a value has not been provided, “Not specified” is displayed in the Job Card.

Adding and Correcting Data
Editing on hover
If a required field is empty or automatically retrieved information is incorrect, the data can be added or corrected manually.
To edit a value, hover over the relevant field and select the edit action. Saved changes are used throughout the Job Card.
Copying All Data
The “Copy All” button
The “Copy All” button copies the main vehicle identity and technical details. This is useful when sending information to a supplier, checking part compatibility, or using the details in an external system.
