The filters at the top of the Job Board help you quickly narrow down the visible Job Cards without changing their workflow stage.
They are particularly useful when the board contains many active jobs and you need to focus on a specific mechanic's workload or identify vehicles based on their parts status.
Assigned To
Use the Assigned To filter to display Job Cards based on the employee currently assigned to them.
You can select one or multiple employees to see only the jobs assigned to those team members.
Select Unassigned to find Job Cards that do not currently have an employee assigned.
This is useful for checking individual mechanic workloads, finding unassigned jobs, and deciding which vehicles can be picked up next.
The Select All option displays jobs for all available employees.
Parts
Use the Parts filter to quickly identify Job Cards based on the status of parts associated with the repair.
The number displayed next to each option indicates how many Job Cards currently match that parts status.
The available filters are
- Need to Order – shows jobs containing parts that are required but still need to be ordered from a supplier.
- Awaiting Approval – shows jobs containing parts that are still waiting for customer approval before the purchasing process can continue.
- Ordered – shows jobs containing parts that have already been ordered and are currently expected from the supplier.
- Arrived – shows ordered parts that have already arrived at the workshop.
- Has Parts – shows all Job Cards that contain parts, regardless of their current purchasing status.
This filter is especially useful for coordinating purchasing with the workshop's live work queue. For example, the workshop can quickly identify vehicles that are waiting for parts, check which ordered parts have arrived, and determine which jobs may now be ready for mechanics to continue working on.
Using Filters with the Live Work Queue
The Assigned To and Parts filters can be used together to get a more specific view of the workshop workload.
For example, you can filter the board by a particular mechanic and then use Parts → Arrived to identify their jobs where required parts have already arrived.
The filters only change which Job Cards are displayed on the Job Board. They do not change the Job Card stage, assigned employee, or parts status.
